Channel Commercials has sponsored Barons Speed Shop for the Epsom Salt Project by painting the fuel tank and fairing.
The ‘Epsom Salt’ project has been commissioned by Peter Allan. As a keen motorcycle enthusiast, Peter has followed various bikes over the years at various Bonneville Land Speed meetings, and decided to have a go himself in the A-PG or A-PF classes.
Peter commissioned Dick Smith of Barons Speed Shop to build him a record beater based around the classic pre-unit 650cc Triumph engine from the 1960s.
The Paintshop at Channel Commercials, in Kent, applied silver metal flake, blue kandy scallops and 1/8″ gold pin stripe to the fuel tank and fairing before applying two coats of UV lacquer to achieve the final finish.
There are two main events each year – Speed Week and BUB trials. Further information on the project can be seen on the Epsom Salt Blog where trials are currently being undertaken.
