Channel Commercials Plc in conjunction with Stoneridge Electronics, held two seminars for local operators yesterday on the subject of New Digital Tachograph Regulations and the ‘One Minute Rule’.
The seminars held at Channel Commercials’ Ashford and Strood commercial vehicle depots, were well received by the many operators who attended, each of who were made aware of the benefits of upgrading their current systems to the new specification tachographs. The main benefit of these would be improved utilisation of drivers’ time and hours, especially for those carrying out multiple drop deliveries or for the bus or coach driver with numerous stops and starts throughout their working day.
The New SE5000 Exakt, is the first ‘One Minute Rule’ Tachograph on the market and testing has shown that this new device could save up to 45 minutes extra driving time per day! Available from Channel Commercials parts department, we can also install, maintain and calibrate your new digital tachographs at one of our four VOSA-approved Tachograph Centres (ATCs).
In addition to Magnus Muhlert and Ken Beasley from Stoneridge Electronics, we had Paul Carden from DAF Trucks attend, who spoke about the benefits of the TRP all-makes programme and the DAF MAX card.
